You have done engineering and opt for a job, after some time you realize, It's not meant for me, The way I should have Fun with my job it's no were exists. I came to question WHY I HAVE DONE ENGINEERING? You are not the alone, People who have bitter experience with their past carriers have the same question. Why I have done It?
Now you are looking to switch a field, you have are looking for something which less versatile and a good-paying, You have done all your research and came up here UI-UX.
And it feels like you have got your Pearl after taking a long dive, ups, and downs. Well, this is the best thing about creative people, “the creativity inside them will eventually come out” and take that person with deep challenges which a non-creative person finds hard to do.
A learner in search of worthy Carrier
So the question is :
Is UI/UX is the right career for me? Is it the pearl that deserves to take a deep dive by risking it all? Is it worthy enough to pay me well? Will it make me rich?
This is for you, You are meant for it, Prepare your jet-packs, and ready to fly high.
Now, WHERE TO START?
I suggest you instead of looking for some random tutorial or taking any clip, Just keep in mind! The only difference between a Fashion designer & street tailor is the skillset & core foundation principle which separates both of them.
Keeping that in mind, look for principals, core theories frameworks, foundations get all the brainstorming session done before coming to any software, Fit in your mind this is not a machine-generated or any eating product, You are designing an experience, real experience and experience comes from emotions and all living beings are the holder of those early morning boners to hardcore aggressiveness from love to fight, from maternity to orgasms these are all feelings and emotions which we all possess.
Designing a well-tailored experience, that’s what the job of UI/UX designer is.
I pressurized on theories & principles because it will give you a well understanding of these feelings and emotions and how to invision that in your design, and learning only software will leave you on the ground of dead-alive zombies.
So theory comes first then software later, and taking a course would be a genius step.
Interaction Design Foundation, Coursera, Springboard, Carrier Foundry are some of the industry leaders in arming you with all the weapons you need to win these learning wars. Moreover, they even help you to build your portfolio which is a boon for there students.
and coming this far will not let you come to this article again, Next time!
After a few years of spending in UI/UX, you will soon realize that you have mastered one of the high-income skills i.e UI/UX is one of the highest paying jobs of the world. Even bottom-line would be not less than $8000 and top-line would be_________ A stake in a startup, creative designer at any gaming/business company or rising from middle class to elite once, UI/UX has a potential to get all these besides, your job satisfaction.
All suggestions and constructive criticisms are welcome.
